Workings, Glasgow International, UK

Philip Gurrey, Beth Shapeero, Samantha Madonik and Jenny Lewis are delighted to present ‘Workings’, an artist led exhibition, part of Glasgow International 2016, which seeks to connect the public to the process by which art is investigated and made, actively encouraging the involvement of visitors as collaborators and participants in the creation of a professionally staged exhibition.

Gurrey, Shapeero, Madonik and Lewis will be at 695 Garscube Road for the duration of the Glasgow International 2016 festival. Participation will be a key part of the ‘Workings’ exhibition. Visitors will have the opportunity to take part in the practical production of works as well as working with the artists on the development and delivery of ideas. All four artists work across a very broad range of mediums many of which will be included in the exhibition from sculptural forms and oil paintings to video projections and installation works. Some simple food and drinks will also be on offer to help cultivate an environment of informal exchange between the artists and visitors.
